I was online recently and saw examples of how designers were able to take vintage, hardback books and make everything from end tables to headboards. In one of the photos, someone made a coffee table using four stacks of hardback books for the legs and laid a heavy sheet of glass on top.
Using old books is one of the best upcycling ideas I’ve come across lately. Upcycling means taking an object that you would otherwise discard and turn it into something useful, and decorating with books is a fun way to reuse the books you’ve read.
After seeing those photos, I was so inspired, that I grabbed some of the used books that I purchased at different thrift stores and started thinking about my own decor. Here's what I did.
